Attention Marines & Family Members:

If you are a veteran or family member of a veteran who served 30 days or more at Camp Lejeune, NC between 1957 and 1987 you may be eligible for free medical care if you have a covered condition. Veterans may be able to be service connected for these conditions as well.

For treatment purposes Veterans Affairs recognizes the following 15 heath conditions as related to being exposed to the water at Camp Lejeune.

•    Esophageal cancer
•    Breast cancer
•    Kidney cancer
•    Multiple myeloma
•    Renal toxicity
•    Female infertility
•    Scleroderma
•    Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma
•    Lung cancer
•    Bladder cancer
•    Leukemia
•    Myelodysplastic syndromes
•    Hepatic steatosis
•    Miscarriage
•    Neurobehavioral effects

Presently Veterans Affairs does not recognize any presumptions for exposure to the water at Camp Lejeune but with a medical opinion linking one of these conditions or other medical conditions and exposure to the contaminated water at Camp Lejeune may result in service connection for the  veteran.
